One of my personal mantras I have decided to use more of this year is “Just be true to yourself.” This mantra has been my guiding light when making trivial decisions as well as important life decisions.
The reason it’s of value to be true to ourselves, in our family life, our work life, life with our friends… is because when we are being true to ourselves and we are respecting and honouring ourselves, it guides us on our path.
When we honour ourselves, there is less resistance in life, life flows with ease…. we easily find those parking spaces, the lights are green more often, we achieve our goals quickly and easily, we spend fun times with our family and friends, we get the job we want….
If you would like your life to flow with ease more often then use this simple technique to help you. This can be used to help us decide where to go on holiday – abroad or in the UK say, when to do that job that we’ve putting off for ages – tomorrow or today, or even what to have for supper. You won’t need to know the ins and outs of how things will happen, you just have to do the following:
Say, for example, we are unsure as to what to do for our holiday this year.
The options could be to spend our holiday in the UK or abroad.
Spend a few seconds or so thinking about each option. Imagine projecting yourself into the future so that you are in each scenario….
How does each option look, sounds and feel?
Which option is the best when you think about it? Where in your body do you feel whether something feels right?
Which ever option ‘feels’ right is the one to go for. Go with your gut feeling.
The UK felt right for me. I’d love to know what was right for you?
