Intrigued by the mystical, colourful world of aura readings? Here’s how to decipher what yours might say about you
Have you ever met someone and later described them as being on the same wavelength as you are? Perhaps you had a similar wicked sense of humour or you felt the conversation was effortless. Yes, these are all signs of a good first date or a stranger becoming a trusted friend, but have you ever considered that ‘clicking’ with someone may be down to the two of you having similar auras?
“Your aura is as unique as your fingerprints,” says Alla Svirinskaya, author of Own Your Energy (£14.99, Hay House Publishers), “It consists of seven colourful layers: physical health, emotional intelligence, intellectual intelligence, feelings, beliefs, thoughts and dreams.” Although you might not physically be able to see these different energies, it is possible to have them read.
The process of an aura reading varies, but Alla taps into her patient’s unique vibrational portrait by using the telepathic ability of her hands. “By using the formula: thoughts, actions, intentions, beliefs and actions, equal vibrations, I’m able to detect energy frequencies and assess the multi-state of different auras from physical to the divine,” says Alla.
Although it’s best to seek a professional, it’s also possible to perform an aura reading on yourself in the comfort of your very own home. “The most important first step is not about tapping into your current state, MURRISONbut to identify your authentic flow, your energy ID,” says Alla. This will act as your compass, and will enable you to detect negative energies. When reading auras, Alla recommends entering into a neutral state: “Imagine that you’re pulling a periscope out of the crown chakra on the top of your head,” she says. “Keep pulling it until it’s about three feet tall.” To note how different everything can look from a very different perspective, Alla suggests looking at your external world through the top of the periscope. “Now, every time you’re presented with a difficult situation or need to enter into a neutral state, immediately pull out your ‘periscope’ and use it to observe what’s going on,” she explains. You’ll find that you’re able to resolve situations in a wise and detached manner. From time to time it’s also good to pull out your ‘periscope’ and view your life through its thin glass. “Like you’re viewing a movie from an auditorium, it gives you a much better and less cluttered view of your problems and circumstances,” says Alla.
As you exchange energies with those around you, your aura can experience stress and acquire negative characteristics, so it’s important that you set time aside to clear and remove any toxicity. There are multiple natural elements you can use to break and uplift the energy stagnation such as crystals of salt, smoke, water and fire.
“The secret for an effective energy clearing is the intent you hold while performing the ritual,” says Alla.
