Find out which serums skincare queen Sarah Jagger loves…
Think of serums as ‘serious’ skincare. These cocktails of concentrated formulas and precious ingredients are where skincare companies are able to really show off their cosmetic creating skills and formulate intensive treatments to tackle problem areas . Whatever the issue may be, there is a super serum out there to render even the most stubborn skin complaint redundant and these are my favourites!
Anne Semonin Precious Serum £96
This rich, luxurious serum is a powerful skin rejuvenator and comes packed with botanical oils like wheat germ, sesame and St. John’s wort. Enriched with essential oils of rosewood, lavender, geranium and rose it’s the perfect pick-me–up for dry, lackluster skin.Use on its own at night.
Elemental Herbology Bio Cellular Matrix Facial Serum, £47
Dull skin doesn’t stand a chance with this instant brightening serum. Packed with antioxidants like Green Tea and Raspberry Stem Cells, it also includes collagen rich proteins and amino acids to improve hydration and suppleness. When it comes to radiance, Pearl powder imparts luminosity and guarana helps to stimulate circulation. My skin felt brighter even after only one use.
Antipodes Hosanna H20 Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum, £27.99
Immediately quenching even the thirstiest complexions, this water-charged, oil-free bioactive serum feels luxurious and results- driven to me (something I’ve come to feel about the entire Antipodes range). Vinanza Grape antioxidant keeps skin super-hydrated and protected from free radical damage, while Mamaku black fern helps to promote healthy cell renewal.
Nude Cellular Renewal Serum £64.00
This clever serum works at a cellular level, stimulating the skin’s own natural ability to produce collagen, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants. I loved the lightweight feel of this product and the fact that it absorbs instantly at the same time as leaving my skin feeling hydrated with or without moisturiser.
Elemis Skin Clear Overnight Serum £18.00
Part of the ‘Freshskin’ range, this de-clogging wonder serum targets blemishes while you sleep. Salicylic acid, which can often cause redness, is contained in a slow release formula to reduce the risk of sensitivity as well as tightening pores and improving skin clarity. A great one for teenagers and adults alike.
Suki Bio-C 10% Formula Face Serum £65.95
I like to use this serum as an everyday all-rounder because it feels weightless on the skin (it’s oil free), contains enormous amounts of the super antioxidant vitamin c polypeptide liposome and contains a ‘copper peptide support’; helping to reduces the appearance of fine lines &
early signs of aging.
