The colours we pick for our walls speak volumes about our personality and disposition – just think about all the chaotic, creative people you know with colourful bedrooms and super organised friends who favour clean lines and monochrome. Expressing your own personal style and creativity is a great way of showcasing what you are about but when you think about it, what does your colour choice say about you?
If you choose warm colour tones in your home décor, like orange, peach and deep yellow, you’re likely to be a welcoming and cheerful person . Warm colours look as if they are radiating outwards, making rooms feel more intimate.

Colours like pale blue and lavender are very serene and calming, because we associate them with nature. People who choose cool, calm colours tend to be introverts or at least people who like to be quiet and solitary in their own home.
People who choose white for their walls are normally very logical and organised. White makes us feel calm, but we also associate it with cleanliness. This is why white is one of the most popular colours for people to paint their rooms.
If you’ve gone for a pink colour scheme, it doesn’t mean that you are a “girlie girl”, or even a woman for that matter. Pink is the colour of adoration , which is why it is often thought of as a delicate colour and is associated with people who crave affection. Purple meanwhile, is associated with people who are very artistic – it’s the colour we choose when we want to unleash our creativity and feel inspired.
Sometimes, the colours we choose to decorate our homes in are just that – colours we choose for decoration. It’s fun to look into our own colour choices and see what they say about our personalities, but don’t forget that sometimes we play with colour just for the fun of it.
